Tor Competes In UpDog Challenge and Other Competitions
August 2019
Tor went to play Dock Dogs in Ashland KY and she was great! She placed 2nd Rookie dog, awarded to dogs new to dock dogs and given based on the biggest jump. She also placed 1st in the first big air wave, 2nd in the second big air wave, and placed 4th in finals out of a very competitive class of 6 dogs. She has a new personal best of 14 feet 8 inches with no practice since before Thanksgiving. She amazes me more and more each time we compete, and I am incredibly blessed to have her as my partner. - Lesli
June 2019
We finished with her Rally Novice title in April and will be trying for her Rally Advanced title in Huntington. We will also be in the obedience ring for the first time trying for a leg in BN. We have already qualified for next years Rally Nationals and will hopefully be competing in Ohio next summer when that rolls around!
January 2019
Tor has earned both her trick dog intermediate & trick dog advanced titles in December. We will be finishing the title series in the next month. I also am going to try and debut her in barn hunt this month or next; debuting her in rally in March, and we just started agility training today. She has been coming along well in all of her training and is such a joy to work with. Every trainer is so impressed with her, and she makes me so proud.
September 2018
I just wanted to drop by and update you on Tor! She has competed in The UpDog Challenge (disc competition) and Ultimate Air Dogs (dock jumping).
In UpDog she earned an achievement (similar to an AKC conformation 'point') and is only one more round like she played last time away from qualifying for the international finals! We keep the game as safe as possible by only rolling the frisbees, so she doesn't jump in the air. She was so attentive and impressed everyone with how much she loved to play with me. I've attached a picture of her playing that day.
In dock jumping she placed third one day and placed 5th overall (a whole weekend of jumps) in her division. She was such a natural at the sport and flew off the dock like she'd been doing it her whole life. We were told by several national champion handlers that she is an impressive pup and will go far in the sport, so I look forward to getting her out to more competitions in the next season. I've also attached a picture from her dock jumping competition.
In the next month we will be doing another dock jumping competition as well as a conformation competition (IABCA dog showing) since we've been doing some conformation classes. Tor is such a joy and excels in everything she does. Thank you always for producing and trusting me with such an amazing dog.
An Unlikely Friendship!
One of our pups, Otis Bob and his best horse friend Chief make a cute pair! Otis loves taking his friend for a walk.
